Overview
The Delete Service Order feature in Taskip allows authorized users to permanently remove a service order from the system. This is useful for cleaning up invalid, duplicate, or test orders that are no longer required for tracking or execution.
⚠️ This action is irreversible and cannot be undone once completed.
Purpose
- Remove unwanted or incorrect service orders
- Maintain a clean and organized order list
- Eliminate duplicate or test data
- Improve system accuracy and reporting
Pre-Conditions
Before deleting a service order, ensure:
- User has a valid Taskip account
- User is logged in
- At least one service order exists
- User has Super Admin or Admin permissions
- The order is not required for ongoing reporting or auditing
How to Delete a Service Order
Step 1: Navigate to Service Orders
Go to:
Main Menu → Orders → Service Orders
You will see a list of all created orders.
Step 2: Locate the Order
Find the service order you want to delete using:
- Order ID
- Service Name
- Client Name
Step 3: Open Action Menu
Click the three-dot (⋮) menu on the right side of the order row.
A dropdown menu will appear with available actions.
Step 4: Select Delete Option
Click Delete Order from the menu.
Step 5: Confirmation Prompt
A confirmation dialog will appear to prevent accidental deletion.
You will be asked to confirm:
- Do you really want to delete this order?
Step 6: Final Confirmation
Confirm the deletion.
⚠️ Note: Once confirmed, the order will be permanently removed from the system.
Step 7: Order Deletion Complete
After confirmation:
- The service order is permanently deleted
- It is removed from the Service Orders list
- All related order data becomes inaccessible
System Behavior After Deletion
When an order is deleted:
- It is removed from the order table
- Linked project and task references are disconnected (if applicable)
- It no longer appears in reports or filters
- History logs may retain minimal audit traces depending on system configuration
Important Notes
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed
- Only authorized users can perform this action
- Avoid deleting active or in-progress orders
- Use caution when removing financial or completed records

- Verify order details before deletion
- Avoid deleting orders with completed payments
- Use archiving (if available) instead of deletion for records
- Restrict deletion permissions to Admin roles only
